spare parts? cover for Sturmey-Archer 3-speed shifter?

    When I came off my bike, I damaged the shifter on my three-speed - the strip that stops the lever rising has broken off, so changing gears takes a bit of care.

    Is there any chance you guys have a spare one of these?

    Yes we have 3 speed shifters and other parts for them

    I think there might be a problem with my hub as well - twice now it's dropped out of gear while I've been cycling in second, and it occasionally takes a while to engage when shifted into second.

    suggests I may have broken pawl springs, or worn pawls, or some other problem.

    I missed out on doing the hub gear course, so I fear I have no idea how to do anything with my hub.  Any advice on how I can test whether there really is a problem without opening the beast up?

    I wouldn't know the problem with out looking at the hub, but it does sound like it needs servicing.
    There might be a problem with the toggle chain, it could be worn or keeps unscrewing it self.
